Cookies and cache are mechanisms used in web browsers.
Cookies:
- Small text files created by websites.
- Store user and website interaction information.
- Sent back to the server with requests.
- Used for personalization, preferences, and session maintenance.
- Can be session-based or have expiration times.
- Users can control cookie settings.
Cache:
- Temporary storage of web page resources.
- Improves loading speed and performance.
- Locally stores resources on the user’s device.
- Serves cached resources if they haven’t expired or changed.
- Controlled by server headers.
- Clearing the cache retrieves the latest resources.
In summary, cookies store user information, while cache improves performance by storing web resources locally.
